On October 19th, as part of our church-wide emphasis on discipleship, we'll begin to explore themes from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Because we recognize that people learn in different ways, we are encouraging individuals to join the journey by reading the book, The Good and Beautiful Life by James Bryon Smith. And because community fosters our growth as disciples of Jesus, we are encouraging Trinity's CommunityLife groups to take the journey together.Read more: The Good and Beautiful Life
Here is our working definition of what discipleship is for our church-wide emphasis on discipleship:
“Discipleship is a lifelong journey of transformation toward Christ-likeness. It is both deeply personal and happens best in deepening community; it is accomplished by the Holy Spirit, yet calls for our heartfelt response. It is Christ's invitation to abundant life, for the sake of God's redemptive purpose for the world.”
Join us from 10-11am for prayer during the second worship hour. We are gathering to pray for the needs of Trinity, our community and the world. We will seek the Lord's guidance regarding the Senior Pastor search, the youth program, church ministries, as well as the needs of the congregation and surrounding community. We meet in the Conference Room (200H).Read more: Sunday Morning Prayer Gathering
