“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give today are to be upon your hearts.” Deut. 6:5-6
In Children’s Sunday school your children receive small group attention from our trained Sunday School teachers and assistants.  Using curriculum from David C. Cook students learn about God from Bible stories and how to apply God’s word to their lives.  Bible memory verses help children to hide God’s truth in their hearts developing a foundation of faith to aid them with life’s bumps and bruises.
Our teacher’s goal is to be a partner with you as you raise your child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  Share your wish for your child with them and they will pray for both of you as you work toward making this wish a reality for your child.
What is the purpose of Sunday school?  While the initial answer is obvious: to teach children about Jesus, there are, two other reasons.  Since the responsibility of raising a child to follow Jesus is the parent’s privilege (Deut. 6:4-8), our Children’s Ministry’s purpose is to assist in that.  One way we do that is by offering a time when parents may also be trained in the ways of the Lord.  Our Sunday school hour enables a parent to learn what it means to follow Jesus so they in turn may teach their children how.  Sunday school also helps a child make friends for life; friends they can turn to for Godly advice.  Even if our children are in the world but not of it, they will need guidance!  The question is to whom will they turn for council in their parents absence?
