Hearts of Joy
Hearts of Joy is a choir for children in grades 1-6, directed by Dawne Gagnon and Kim Aliczi.
Children are encouraged to experience worship through singing by providing a musical foundation to appreciate traditional hymns of our faith as well as contemporary praise and worship music. Rehearsals include breathing and vocal exercises, instruction on music notation, preparation of music for Sunday services, discussion of text and meaning of the music, and prayer time. Hearts of Joy sings on the first Sunday of the month (typically Communion Sunday) at the second service only. Rehearsals commence the second Sunday of September and conclude the first Sunday of June. All rehearsals take place in the Chapel during the second service children's church time period.
