THE HARTFORD PROJECT ~
Summer 2008 Mission Trip

(Junior high and High School students and parents, please read!)

For the 5th year in a row several areas churches are coming together for the Hartford Project.  This trip is our junior high mission trip, but also open to high school students.  This trip is a great prerequisite to the Mexico trip.

It is important for us to keep in mind that we do missions in our own neighborhood.  Hartford is in great need.  It is the second poorest city in the United States.  The youth are struggling and feel that there is no hope in Hartford.  We want to show them that there is hope in Jesus Christ.  On this mission trip we will partner with various churches and para-church ministries to show the love of Jesus in practical, hands-on service.  My prayer is that we will have much more involvement from this church, both youth and adults (yes we need adults to help out too!)  Please review the info below and pray about your involvement in the Hartford Project in 2008

Dates:              June 22-26 Cost:                $100 for students, $70 for adult leaders Location:         Staying in Hartford at Salvation Army or a local church Activities         Teams of 8-12 people will be assigned various ministries which will include but not limited to:  Working at homeless shelters, soup kitchens, treatment centers, medical missions, prayer walks, visitation, youth and children’s ministries.  In addition to these ministries, there will be times of group prayer, worship, education, and team building.
