YUGO trip Overview:

We want to offer a trip to Tijuana, Mexico to work with Yugo ministries and the church we have worked with for the past four years.  This is our high school mission trip for students and adults.  As always, we need to have enough people sign up  to do a quality trip.  If we have at least 10 youth and 3 adults we can do the mission.

Traveling:  We would be flying to San Diego, California and renting vehicles.  We would then drive across the border on Sunday afternoon and return to the US on Saturday of the same week.  A passport is now needed to travel to Tijuana.  If you do not have a passport you should begin working on one right away.  While we are camping in Mexico, all of our food is bought in the US and brought over for us and all our water is purified and bottled!  Any severe emergencies could be handled across the border in California.  We would also spend some time in San Diego relaxing and enjoying the city.

Schedule:  Pretty much the same as the last three years.  We will spend some time in San Diego at the beginning and end and be in Mexico from Sunday to Saturday.

Dates:  July 18 - 27, 2008

Estimated Cost:  $900 per person.  This estimate is the highest it will be hopefully airline prices and such will go down and/or we find great deals.  Please keep in mind that fundraisers and support letter will raise a significant portion of this amount, perhaps even all of it.  We are experiencing what missionaries experience when we raise money together.

Deadlines and dates:  Please have your covenant signed and a $50 deposit by January 25th  , 2008.  The team will be finalized by the end of January and we will meet with the missions commission the first Wednesday in February.
