Many of us see a picture of ancient people bowing down to statues when they think of the word idolatry. Yet, idolatry isn’t just an ancient practice but is very much alive today. Idolatry is at the very heart of our lives. It plays itself out in our choices of our daily actions, how we respond to others, and guides our decisions we make both big and small. Jesus himself addresses this in his ministry and teaching and shows us how this indeed is where our faith is lived out in every moment.
